NPHCDA, partners celebrate outgoing CEO, Faisal Shuaib
Concise daily Newsonline – It was an illustrious and joyful moment of gatherings, as development partners of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) with friends and families converging to celebrate the distinguished tenure of Dr. Faisal Shuaib, who served as the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer (ED/CEO) from 2017 to 2023.
According to a statement, the event packed with lots of eulogies for Dr. Shuaib was marked by his significant achievements, underscoring his dedication in enhancing Primary Health Care in Nigeria.
Giving her tribute, the Special Assistant, to the President on Health, Dr. Salma Anas Kolo commended Dr. Shuaib for his unwavering commitment to health care in Nigeria.
She described him as someone who is very passionate about the job.
“He will go anywhere to deliver services for the vulnerable people wherever they are,” she said.
She explained how Dr. Shuaib dedicated to his job, even in time of crisis at Borno State when a lot of people, even development partners were running away.
“He kept on going into communities, delivering vaccines to children,” she said.
The event brought together serving and retired directors as well as members of the agency who shared heartfelt testimonials about Dr. Shuaib’s impactful leadership.
A representative of serving directors in the agency, Dr. Abdulahi Garba praised Dr. Shuaib for his accomplishments, emphasizing his digital initiatives and initiatives that positively impacted staff, including salary augmentations and annual palliatives.
Dr. Garba expressed gratitude and extended well-wishes to Dr. Faisal in his future endeavours.
In his emotional farewell address, Dr. Shuaib shifted the focus on the dedicated staff and partners at NPHCDA, attributing the agency’s achievements to their collective efforts.
He acknowledged the sacrifices of his family and expressed appreciation for the support from colleagues, friends, mentors, and stakeholders who played pivotal roles throughout his career.
The celebration included the cutting of a cake, presentation of awards, and heartfelt testimonies from individuals spanning various sectors.
