NCC boss shares priority and vision at ITU-WRC Dubai, commits to improve consumer’s experience

Concisedaily Newsonline – The Executive Vice Chairman, of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida has expressed is unwavering commitment in improving the quality of experience of consumers and advancing broadband penetration across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria.
Maida disclosed this at the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) 2023, in Dubai, when he meet on the side-line with Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Mrs. Doreen Bogdan-Martin, while he also shared his priority and vision of the NCC.
Maida through his X account (@Dr_AminuMaida) said that the meeting was also an occasion to discuss potential areas of collaboration and increased Nigerian representation at the ITU.
The WRC is held every 4-years to revise and update international radio regulations, with the goal of achieving global harmonisation in the use of radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbital resources.
He said, “At the top of the agenda of the NCC engagements with the community of leaders here is to advance the interest of Nigerian telecommunication as well as push for increased representation of our country in global telecommunication activities.
“This conference will also provide our team an avenue to learn best practices in the industry from colleagues, and to forge relevant % crucial relationships with regional and global stakeholders while promoting business opportunities that Nigeria has to offer to the stakeholders here.
“In keeping up with these objectives, I must say that today was an enriching and successful outing. I look forward to a robust and productive conference.”
