Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, has won the prestigious 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.

Atalanta striker Lookman beat Simon Adingra, Achraf Hakimi, Rowen Williams, and Serhou Guirassy to claim the honor.

Lookman succeeds his compatriot, Victor Osimhen, who won the award in 2023.

The 27-year-old made a significant impact for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.

The talented winger scored three goals and provided one assist during the competition, where the Super Eagles finished in second place.

Additionally, Lookman made history by scoring a hat-trick for Serie A club Atalanta in the final of the UEFA Europa League.
