Rose Idibia, the mother of renowned singer Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has made a heartfelt appeal to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, urging her to stay away from her son.

In a video that went viral on Thursday evening, Mrs. Idibia voiced her concerns, stating that 2Baba is emotionally unstable due to his ongoing divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.

“My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba. I am appealing to all Nigerian mothers to help me beg Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State to let my son be,” she pleaded.

She further alleged that Osawaru had placed spiritual items on 2Baba, saying, “Please, Natasha, remove the beads you put on his hand and neck. Let him go.”

Her plea follows the circulation of a video where 2Baba was seen proposing to Osawaru while they danced in the company of friends. The singer presented her with a ring before they embraced, fueling speculation about their relationship.

This comes shortly after 2Baba publicly confirmed his romance with Osawaru, a revelation that has sparked intense discussions on social media. Reports of his visit to the Edo State House of Assembly and sightings of the duo together in Lagos had already fueled rumors before the official confirmation.

Addressing the controversy, 2Baba took to Instagram on Tuesday to clarify the situation.

“I have seen many false narratives and malicious stories about my post. Hon. Natasha Osawaru has been called names and labeled a home wrecker. She had nothing to do with what happened between me and Annie,” he stated.

He further affirmed his commitment to Osawaru, saying, “Yes, I love her. She is an amazing woman, and I want to marry her.”

Natasha Osawaru my, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was elected in April 2023. She hails from Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.
